This rare Indian pitcher plant produces distinctive reddish-brown pitchers with broad wings and a unique purple-tinged peristome rim. Unlike its tropical cousins, it's one of the few species that can handle cooler mountain temperatures and actually prefers less humidity than most other pitcher plants.
