This charming little cactus forms clusters of finger-like stems that spread outward like a living carpet. In spring, it puts on a spectacular show with bright orange-red flowers that are surprisingly large for its size, earning it the nickname 'peanut cactus' for its tendency to multiply like peanuts in a shell.
